Distractions, distractions

Oh, thank goodness for the many many distractions my friends provide. They don't make the sucky feelings go away, but the distractions make everything easier, if only for a little while.

Something I've been doing a lot of lately: writing in my diary. While it doesn't qualify as a distraction really, it does allow me to get out all of the things I would never readily tell anyone, even my friends. (I know...hard to believe since I am sort of like an open book most of the time, but even I have secrets or things that I don't feel comfortable expressing.)

Blogging is one thing, but keeping a diary is completely different. Even more shocking...I've been writing in my diary since 1989. That's right, more than TWENTY YEARS of bits and pieces of my life are actually documented. Some JUICY things in that book. Whoever gets a hold of that thing when I die is in for an interesting read, that's for sure.

Until then, it's hidden away in a very special place, for my eyes only.

Song of the day: "I Don't Believe In The Sun (Magnetic Fields cover" Bodies of Water (tragically sad song, but beautiful)
