What was I thinking?

"Oh, you silly girl...stop being so damn girlie about shit."

(These are the things I have to tell myself from time to time.)

Really, life is great. And I worry too much about nothing every once in awhile. Such a waste of time...obviously. But, I'm over that now =). Seriously...I watched Top Gun last night and it made everything so much better:

AND soooo ready to enjoy my favorite part of October: PUMPKINS!

I shall be hitting the pick-em yourself pumpkin patch at some point this weekend. Love love love love love them! Even though no one ever gets to see my lovely fall decor (living in an apartment without a balcony seriously limits what I get to put up for display, but it makes me happy nonetheless), I'll be hard at the carving in the coming weeks.

My masterpiece from last year
(seems a little narcissistic, huh):

I haven't decided what I'm going to carve this time around, but I'm sure it shall be glorious.

I also have to get my ass in gear and decide what I'm going to be for Halloween this year. I have some ideas, but am very torn between all of them. I would throw those ideas up to share with each of you, but half the fun is in the surprise of seeing it when it's finished, right? Can't give that away!

I'm beyond happy that it's Friday, for various reasons. Time for some violin, some beers, pumpkins, a little bit of ninja action...you know what I'm sayin...

Oh, since this post already has little or no direction, I'll fire off on another tangent: I'm the skinniest I've been since I moved to Seattle. And I'm getting skinnier. And it's fucking amazing. I've missed this! I would like to thank hot yoga, hiking, stress, illness, non-meat eating, the weekend "liquid diet", horseback riding, and various other forms of exercise for this accomplishment.

Have a wonderful weekend, all you minions.

Song of the day: "How We Operate" Gomez ("turn me inside out and upside down"...oh, Gomez, how I've missed thee)
