If I were a music blogger

Maybe I was a music blogger...in a former life.

Last night just goes to show that going with your gut is definitely the way to go.

I had heard of The Low Anthem before, and I'd listened to a couple of their songs from 2008 that I had enjoyed....so, when I saw a tweet come across from The Crocodile (music venue in Belltown) for their show last night, I realized I didn't have anything better to do, so why the hell not?!

It was like a damn religious experience for me. Period. The album version doesn't do these guys justice...live is definitely the way to go. I don't have the words....well, I do have the words, I guess, but I'll keep it short and to the point:

1.) It was as if they pulled out my soul and served it up on a platter. (Literally, at one point, I thought I was going to cry.)

2.) It was like being at a revival and getting baptized in whiskey.

Any band that pulls out saws, clarinets, etc...to play, well that's kick ass in itself, but these people actually involved the audience by having them pull out their cell phones, putting them on speaker and holding them up to each other to create an amazing audio effect....curious? Watch this (and imagine it times 10, because there were a ton of people with their phones out):

It speaks for itself.
