The story behind the profile pic

It's amazing how much you can see or can't see in a photo. Here comes a little story about how my lovely profile photo below came into existence.

Surprisingly enough, this photo was taken only a year ago at my going-away party in Phoenix. A lovely friend was kind enough to host and provide all the alcohol we could drink. Many of us dressed up for my little "cocktail" night, despite a light chill in the air on my friends rooftop overlooking downtown. It was a night to remember...a night to close one chapter in my life and look forward/move on to the next.

It's amazing how time flies...I've been in Seattle for a year now, and many things have changed.

I'm no longer a blonde, but back to being a dark brunette (suppose I should find a new photo, huh?). I'm dating someone now...wasn't then. I like my job (most of the time) here...loathed my job (at the end) there. I'm developing myself more as a rider now, and was complacent with my riding before. I'm trying new things, making myself feel at home, and exploring more all the time. All good changes.

But back to the photo...there's more in it than what meets the eye. Well, let's just say that a friend of mine gifted a bottle of champagne to celebrate that night...and I DRANK THE WHOLE DAMN THING.

That's right...this self-portrait is actually a photo of me....sitting....on the john.

What can I say....it was a night to remember, and I didn't want to miss a thing.

Song of the day: "Pictures of You" The Cure (one of my favorites)
