I'm very proud of where I came from, and appreciate all that I learned from growing up back in Indiana. But...I'm much happier living where I am in Seattle. =)
It's always the same questions when I come home (check out the answers from my Christmas visit):
Q.) When are you moving back?
A.) NEVER. (Disclaimer: If my parents ever need me there, I'll obviously re-neg this.)
Q.) Is there "someone special" back in Seattle?
A.) NO. Sorry, no big gossip to spread around about this chick lately.
Well, now that we have that settled....
More stories from my Indiana trip to come tomorrow. In the mean time, I can sit back and smile, knowing that my life truly is amazing sometimes.
Hey, it could always be worse....I like to think I get the best of both worlds..."home" to the country and back to the city.
And you know what they say: "You can take the girl outta the honky-tonk, but you can't take the honky-tonk outta the girl."
Song of the day (country is appropriate for an Indiana post, I think!): "American Honey" Lady Antebellum (wrongly credited to Alison Krauss on the playlist for whatever reason)
