Pretty pretty punkins, Psycho, and vampires

I had high high hopes for my super-amazing-domestic fall pumpkin decorating this year, but alas time constraints have crushed my hopes, so I had to settle for a little ego-boosting carving instead:

It's really sad that I don't have a porch or balcony to put my punkin out for all to see, but it's raining anyway, so it will stay fresher on the breakfast bar instead. Roomie has yet to carve his pumpkin...who knows what he will come up with!

In the spirit of the season, I am baking my mom's sugar cookies tonight (and I need to bring something in to work tomorrow for a little holiday party). They are my favorite cookies in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD. I went on the hunt for cookie cutters yesterday evening and came up with a skull, a headstone, and a bat (if I remember correctly). Have to grab some black and orange-colored sugar tonight, but they should turn out perfectly!

Other Halloween-ish festivities for this weekend: I have every intention of being lazy at some point and watching some old episodes of True Blood. I'm fucking ready for Season 3 already, dammit. Especially now since I've read half the books...it's gonna get really good come June, I hope!

I'm also going to see the "Psycho Symphony" on Sunday night. Going to be soooo amazing. If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a look here:

Me thinks I might be having some nightmares Sunday night! OOOOOOOOO!!!!

Song of the day: "Bones" Little Big Town (cause everyone needs a hot vampire)
