Home-schooled!

I've always been more of a learn-by-doing type student. I prefer to learn on-the-job. But, since I don't appear to be picking up the new skills I'm wanting to acquire in my current position, I've decided to take matters into my own hands.

That's right, kids. It's time for this woman to brush up on her HTML. (Doesn't that phrase just ooze enthusiasm?)

I see HTML every day, and understand most of it to an extent, but not enough to write it without second-guessing every bit of script I add...especially the more updated versions.

Lucky enough for me, I have some GREAT friends in the industry that have provided an ample list of resources (textbooks, sites, etc.) by which to teach myself. So, if you hear from me less, or notice shorter posts, you can go ahead and assume that is what I'm doing with my free time (for as long as I can stay focused, that is).

Not to mention I will probably be testing some of my new knowledge ON the blog at some point. Bear with me, everyone! Next on the list: XHTML, CSS, and some lovely Javascript. Be jealous, oh so jealous.

Song of the day: "Up Around The Bend" Creedence Clearwater Revival (nothing like a little old school CCR to get you in education mode)
