Too bad this guy is dead

That would be Mr. Stieg Larsson pictured here to the left. If you've never heard of him, let me fill you in: He wrote The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

I finished reading this book in one week, and it's a pretty lengthy book, so that should tell you something (if you trust my opinion, that is).

The thing I find perplexing about this book is it's title. It really doesn't seem that fitting. Yes, there is a girl in it...with a dragon tattoo...but she isn't even the main character of the book. She plays a very important part, but I didn't find her to be the most intriguing person. Larsson delves into her background and personality/past and spells it all out for you, leaving very little mystery about her character. I suppose the title must have to do with the fact that the other two books in the series have similar titles (and I'm assuming share the same female character from the first book): The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest.

I guess I will just have to read the other two to find out!

And apparently there is a movie based on the first book...not sure what I think of the trailer, but I will probably watch the movie anyway.

Song of the day: "Keep The Car Running" Arcade Fire (cause I'm so excited about their new album that I'm pulling out some of their old stuff)
