For instance….yesterday I had the allergy day from hell. I went through half a box of tissues and basically thought that I was going to scratch my eyes out. I stayed in bed, rested, and pumped myself full of drugs. Finally, later in the evening I was feeling better. I could actually breathe again, thanks to some hardcore Claritin D.
So, what better way to top off my day than getting an ice cream cone? (I thought it sounded like an excellent idea.)
Now, I didn’t get all crazy and go for something elaborate, but rather opted for Dairy Queen soft-serve vanilla. About half way through, before I even got to the actual sugar cone, I realized something….teeth marks in my soft serve. Ummm, yeah. Apparently I prefer to bite into my ice cream rather than lick it up. It was THAT good, I guess.
This whole scenario made me ponder a bit, and I came to the conclusion that I do this with a lot of my food. It’s the exact same when I’m eating something that’s hot…I always end up burning my tongue. And I have become the master at fixing brain freeze (tongue to the roof of your mouths, people) for my many moments with ice cream and cold drinks.
It’s because I’m IMPATIENT.
Maybe this says something deeper about my personality? Or maybe I just love my food…
Song of the day: “Aly Walk With Me” The Raveonettes (I love the harsh guitar in this song..I feel like it should be in a Quentin Tarantino film.)
